Shaun has done an excellent job repointing the rear of our mid-terrace. There were no additional costs to those quoted and the standard and speed of work was very impressive. He also cleaned down the works on completion (not the norm in my experience) as well as offering impartial advice throughout with regards to options we faced. Shaun also managed scaffolders hired by myself without any problems and kept me informed via phone, email and text when face to face visits were not possible
Would defo remploy and recommend to anyone.

After Shaun had talked us through his approach to the job and quoted us a reasonable price we knew he was the man to do the job.
He always arrived early and worked really hard. He also proved the pride in his work that he had expressed was certainly reflected in the quality of his work. The completed repointing was very neat and substantially improved the appearance of the walls. He cleaned up every day and did an extremely thorough clean up at the end.

Very quick to come and do the estimate and gave a fair price on how much the job would cost and how long it would take. For a guy working on his own he did a really good job, worked hard and left things tidier than they were before he started. Don't hesitate about getting him to do your job.

The most helpful builder that I have ever met. Gave advice regarding what really needed doing and saved us from paying for unnecessary work. Told us how to obtain a window, and evaluated the window for us. Worked within time and budget discussed and always helpful, and a very nice man. Shaun and his team did a superb job of re-pointing our random stone gable end and filling in some old doorways in matching, coursed stone. He and his team were punctual, very hard working and kept things clean and tidy at all times. The pricing was reasonable and they were very easy and straightforward to deal with. Shaun pointed the whole of my 3 bedroom semi, the work was carried out to high standard, at the price agreed and on time. He even agreed to come back and repair any the cracks in the pointing after I had my windows replaced. Shaun has been brilliant. Excellent work ethic. Really hard working, pleasant and easy to discuss requirements with. On one of the coldest, dankest days of the year, he was there at 8am when he said he would be, digging out the driveway. Would strongly recommend him, as he rings/ calls when he says he will, and keeps you informed of what has been done/ will be done. His prices are fair, and he agrees details of any additional costs when/ where the requirements change.

I found Shaun via My Builder for my mother and we found him pleasant and accommodating. He was understanding of our budget and vision of how we wanted our fireplace to look, giving excellent advice about cheaper stone which would be both heat wearing and aesthetic. It was a tricky job which he dealt with both professionally and kindly, not to mention that he was the most competitive quote we received! We have a lovely fire for Christmas, Thank you.

Don't let anyone tell you this isn't a mucky job - it is, at times I actually felt guilty looking at the conditions Shaun had to work in - however, he was very professional, cleaned up well behind him and despite battling the weather and various trials and tribulations along the way, completed the job on time and efficiently. I am happy to recommend him.

Shaun Purdie did a quality job of repointing our house, which had stood empty for 30 years, and was in dire need of attention. Shaun provided a competitive quote, worked solidly until the job was done, and did not cut any corners. He ground out the original mortar to a good inch, and power washed everything both before and after repointing to ensure the best possible finish. He maintained great communication throughout the job, and was extremely reliable. I would definitely recommend Purdie to anyone considering repointing. All of the other tradesmen on the job have commented the top quality of Purdie Builder's work.
